Ballina Street Bridge Lismore – Removal of Lead Coatings Overwater
Works on the Ballina Street Bridge, Lismore NSW is now complete. This project, working with TRMS, carried out over a period of 9 months, involved the removal of existing lead based coatings followed by the application of epoxy coatings. An over-water project requiring extensive scaffolding, a full encapsulation and dust extraction systems. This scaffolding and encapsulation system, designed by NSW Transport Roads and Maritime Services was one of the most designed systems we have had the pleasure of working with.
Health, safety and environmental management were key factors of this project, involving the training of employees in safe lead management and hygiene and the use of additional PPE control measuresĀ inĀ such projects.
We are proud to say this project was completed on time and on budget with zero injuries or environmental instances.
